Thomas Atwood

Tom’s publishing career spans three decades, in which he founded a variety of special interest aviation and robotics magazines and websites. At Air Age Media, 1990-2003, he led the development of radio control print magazines and associated websites and rose to associate publisher. In 1996, Tom co-founded Flight Journal magazine. After joining Maplegate Media in 2003, he led the launch of Robot magazine. Since 2014, he has been executive director of the National Robotics Education Foundation. He was a Director, AUVSI Florida Peninsula Chapter (2016-2019), and at the AUVSI San Diego Lindbergh Chapter (2014-2015). He holds a J.D. degree from New York University’s School of Law (1978).

Keith Shaw

With more than 25 years of experience in the publishing and technology journalism space, Keith brings his love and optimism around technology with a skeptical editor’s eye to everything he writes. He worked on several newspapers in New York, Florida, and Massachusetts before turning his attention to the world of technology in the 1990s. He has worked at IDG’s prominent enterprise publications, including Computerworld, Network World and the CIO brands, among others. Most recently, he was the editor-in-chief at Robotics Business Review, running the editorial operations of the leading website that specifically covered robotics businesses and the robotics industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Syracuse University, and is also the co-creator of Taquitos.net, which covers the world of snack foods.
